An Early Christmas
I’ve been taking pictures for quite some time, but strangely I have never taken many night-time pictures. Sure, I take them in private, but doing a professional gig at night is stressful. Nearly every photoshoot I have taken is outside in the daytime or at sunset, and the night-time shoots are nearly all inside. So when a client approached me about taking a pre-Christmas-Eve photoshoot under Christmas lights, I was both excited and scared. Controlling the light is super important, and the low light Christmas Lights coming from different directions would be tough to capture along with the smiling faces of the happy couple.
Luckily, with a little help from Adobe Lightroom, and smart use of a flash and longer exposures, I was able to capture the couple in a crisp way while still capturing the low-light Christmas lights in the background without making either too bright or too dark. A Christmas Miracle!
