Taking a Picture on my Top Floor Guest Room

Taking a Picture on my Top Floor Guest Room

Usually the summer means lots of travel and exploration for me. I’ve visited more than 50 national parks and nearly every city the United States has to offer, so I most certainly have a bad case of wanderlust. 2020 is a bit different. I am not going to doom and gloom talks, although the effects of covid-19 have been devastating, the social impact of the BLM protests have been a welcome wake-up call to the United States. All that being said, I’m getting antsy being inside. Usually I like to go out and take pictures while exploring, but the world isn’t cooperating this year, so I am shifting to exploring inside my own house. Instead of going to a photo studio, I set one inside my own house to test different portrait photography shots. Over the next month or so I am plan on trying a whole bunch of experimenting to see what kind of portraits I enjoy taking most and hopefully add that skill to my repertoire. So far, I am liking what I am seeing, and have scheduled some shoots with close friends over the next few weeks to try to test a few things out.
