South of Everything. Antarctica is simultaneously unforgiving and beautiful. It’s remoteness is truly unmatched anywhere in the world, and yet wildlife finds a way to thrive in this stunning landscape.
An award-winning passion project.
Knowing that going to Antarctica is a truly once in a lifetime experience, I wanted to capture it from every angle. I filmed hours of hours of the entire journey down, and came home to a hard drive full of videos from about half a dozen different cameras. I started editing the project, over days, which turned to weeks, which turned to months, until I distilled the project into a roughly 40-minute love letter to the beautiful continent. It turns out, a lot of other folks liked the video too, winning several awards as a short travel documentary, and becoming my most popular video on YouTube.
